October's Cake of the Month



This design created by Maria M. Negron is a four layer cake covered in fondant. The bottom is a 12 inch round layer. Using a draping technique she made the inner skirt. Layed on the inner skirt is a strip of gum paste with the appearance of lace and then crowned with gilded drapery. The second layer is 10 inch round cake fondant covered and encircled with white gum paste roses. Attached to the top of the second layer is a folded gum paste bow. The third layer is a 8 inch cake the band embossed with a flower pattern and the fourth layer is a 6 inch cake with a gilded cameo crowned with gold cluster of leaves.
